I teach workshops of different repair techniques. Workshops normally last 3 hours. We begin by practicing on sample fabrics, and then you can move onto your own garments. You’ll also be encouraged to think about the sentimental/emotional value of your clothes and to share stories through garments while we practice.
~Woven darning is a technique of repairing holes in both knitted/woven fabrics by creating a woven structure in the material.
~Swiss darning (also known as duplicate stitch) is a technique that replicates the knit stitch. It can be used to repair holes, to strengthen thinning areas, or as an embellishment.
